NICK VECCHIO

MUSICIAN

EDUCATOR

I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a BA in Music/ Music Production and Engineering.

From 1993-2000 I was a member of Xaverian Brothers High School Fine Arts Department and a founding member of their music program.

In 1995 I was awarded a patent for my creation of a chord finding method called “Crib Note” which was included in Fender’s bass packages during Christmas, 1997.

In 1998 I authored a best selling book “Beginning Guitar for Adults” a Workshop Arts Publication distributed through Alfred Publishing and currently available at retail stores across the world and amazon.com.

In 2003 my wife, Julie, and I opened Custom Art Framing & Gallery 9 offering custom picture framing, art classes  and original artwork from gifted local artists.

I taught private guitar and bass lessons at Daddy’s Junky Music since 1991. In 1996 I became the Director of Education for the National Music Workshop providing lessons at Daddy’s Junky Music stores across New England and New York.

In 2007 I started  Band Gig School of Music and Performance, where I organize individual students to form bands. We rehearse, record a demo and perform at concerts raising money for Ernie Boch’s Music Drives Us Foundation. Our first location opened at 45 Central Street in Norwood, MA. In 2010 Band Gig School of Music opened it’s second location at 66 Eastern Ave Dedham, MA.

In November of 2014 Band Gig merged with The Real School of Music extending our offerings while maintaining our stellar programs.  We could not be more excited for what’s to come.
